Pradeep Bahalkar is quite right. As I said in a letter in this very journal in 2004,politicians of all parties want rid of the NHS but need a scapegoat for the bad news stories. It was obvious then and our leaders should hang their heads in shame.

Don't know where the money is going but several practices in Edinburgh folding and the Health Board's only concern is increasing our rent and telling us we can't have a restricted list. Precious little evidence of anything robust or sustainable in this neck of the woods.
