The BMA is not a “normal union”. It sides with the government during negotiations then complains about it afterwards. More akin to NHS england puppets.
Hurrah! We are saved!
Time for them to start talking to their own MP, in fact the entire public should talk to their own GP. Don’t blame the GPs for not coming, keep asking them why they are not!
“interim people plan is the first step. It sets out plans to train more, hire more, and retain more staff”. NHS england are all talk. Time to realise the profession doesn’t want to do general practice anymore. Until they address that, it’s just another meaningless report.
I think we there should be a new secretariat that could register all the registers! Seems the only sensible way forward.
Total agree with National Hopeless Service. It’s the increased demand for definitive answers to trivia that is killing the NHS. It creates impossible task for GPs to manage the hysteria. The extended hours just gives the worried well more time to indulge this
I’m always puzzled by the way they think by having all these extra services will make more appointments available. It just means they will fuel demand. The work will if anything be more difficult because the routine stuff is creamed off by noctors.
IDGAF.... it’s sometimes difficult explain what a wonderful experience being a GP can be but you summed it beautiful! I’ll toast my 7th double wiskey was to you tonight!
Hancock is worse than Hunt in many ways.
Never thought I would say this but please bring back Hunt.
Does pulse talk about anything else apart from Babylon? It’s propaganda, nothing more.
More access = more demand... simples.
Cant see how this is going to help all the patients who really need help a better service. Will just pace more pressure on the system from the worried well who manage to squeeze though the suboptimal computer triage algorithms.
Am I the only one who went into general practice to see real life patients? If all we left with it online and video consultations, General practice is gonna be even worse off!
AlanAlmond is 100% right.
Influential is true! If you mean totally destabilising GP in London then week done Dr Butt. Perhaps we should give him the nobel prize for medicine?! For being a revolutionary?
