So they release the business rules that actually aren't the business rules for this years QOF? tell us to expand the flu campaign but not sure in what way several months after the orders went in and catch up a 1/4 of the years smears. We need clear guidelines with payment guaranteed as to exactly what is needed. How can we plan catch up etc if we dont knwo what we are needed to do
so we go back to life as normal but we still cant get anyone seen by secondary care
what about other batches of 'expired' masks from cardinal not listed. no way we are goign to use them!
what a disgrace
would need to remove all the bans on GP direct referral for MRI/ CT etc. could save huge amounts of secondary care work if allowed, but wont even do CT chest on recommendation of resp team, will only accept their signature.
anyone told the local path labs this?
apparently these 'check ins' are 15 in depth questions that last over an hour!!! this is a disgrace
and yet the drug companies have reduced the sale/ return% this year so no one wants to overorder otherwise at risk of a significant loss.
so our allocated test station is 35minutes away by car. Reception staff is isolating as husband has temperature. cant be tested as they dont own car and neither drive.
this would be great, if we didnt only have 1 waiting room and all consulting rooms and admin rooms open to same corridor with 1 toilet
GP colleague has fever and dry cough, feels unwell but not ill enough to need admission. 111, PHE and microbiology have all said no to testing, yet CCG say they have to self isolate for 2 weeks. The GP workforce can not cope with all staff with resp symptoms self isolating for 2 weeks just in case they may have it. Having no doctors is just as risky as having sick doctors
yup, we all have spare rooms sitting doing nothing. As the public cant be trusted to even put their hand over their mouths when they cough ( had to tell a 33yr old off today for coughing everywhere without any attempt) I am seriously considering refusing to see anyone with URTI symptoms.
this is hardly new. we have been complaining for some time that the pension data is incorrect, missing data, monies owed back to GPs, no record of payments made etc It is scandalous.
just info re the defence organistations: they are not insurance companies
As a GP I do not carry out spirometry but I do intrepet the results, and give talks to GP trainees on its use in primary care. However the 2 levels of certificication do not meet this need: 1) those who carry it out 2) those who carry it out and intrepret results. It is a 2 day course just to do the basics. at huge cost: what a farce, not sure what will happen but the CQC need to stop straight away and they continue to contribute to the bankrupting of the nhs and practices
