Wouldn't give the RCGP the steam off my weewee let alone any £££.
Self-important, self-indulgent, self-deluding twatocrats.
Otherwise great idea and implementation chaps - tally ho.
Scotland: 0.8% uprate to contract for the 2 days.
Locum costs from DAY ONE for GP absence, and remunerated at double the contracted rate (ie up to ~£3500/wk)
Move to Scotland ;-)
Every COPD exacerbation to get full bhuna NHS 111 and isolation?
HA HA HA HA
No. Just no.
Hmm. Much worse than 2001?
Similar - was shit then too prior to the "pay rise" contract and OOH being dumped en masse.
Most of my colleagues who are still members are only doing so because they can't be GP trainers without active membership.
My sentiments towards RCGP are as stated above.
Not surprising as newly qualified GPs with more progressive views leave the RCGP soon after qualifying.
Leaving the cardigans and politicos to "represent" us.
Wouldn't micturate on RCGP if it spontaneously immolated in front of me.
True CKD should be progressive - eGFR falling 2-3 points per annum.
How many patients have eGFR 50-60 for 10 years? They don't have any disease.
What next? Annual health checks for everyone?
You never know they might have dipped their eGFR from 59 to 58 OMG.
So that'll be 4 years once you add in 2 periods of maternity leave ;-)
Plenty of high earning GPs had a business model of 3 week waits for an appointment during the more prosperous times pre-2010.
Without an 'access' KPI we've bugger all chance of open-ended extra funding.
Malaria kills 1,000,000 annually.
But they're mostly sub-Saharan African children.
And can't bring the disease to the Brexitish Isles.
So no £££ for you.
GPs - the problem is YOU
HMG and BMA aren't helping so you have one option here.
Everyone pull out of PCNs.
Or be as spineless as the BMA and continue shouting spite.
"Doctors are also advised to routinely ask patients about their vaping habits and to document the brand and type of products they use and the substances that are vaped"
Pfft - greater than signs get filtered?

Tub of Ben and Jerry's ice cream - £2.50 on offer at Tesco - 1000kcal.
Cartons of sick-flavoured milky phlegm - £2 for 200 mls.
Food cartons of sh*t.
Still waiting for proof Entresto is superior to Valsartan alone.
Yet cardiology want to fill our patients with it.
Follow the money...
"Professor Martin Marshall wrote to health secretary Matt Hancock, warning him three-week waits for GP appointments were 'unacceptable' and that the extra 6,000 GPs in England must be 'deliver[ed] quickly"
About as helpful as a fart in a spacesuit - we all know the 6,000 extra GPs are pure fantasy - RCGP et al should be pushing for workload reduction, more than a capacity increase.
I wouldn't urinate on the RCGP if it was on fire.
Co-owners of the current GP disaster.
200 rich folk?
Easy money for local GPs
6 sessions now and ain't going back to FT.
