I think I know what she should have done according to the GMC. She should have gone to an office where a computer was actually working and written up her concerns regarding the lack of resources. Simples. In fact if we followed GMC advice to report our concerns we wouldn't be being negligent nor of course would we have any time to see a single patient - but we could not be struck off as we would be following GMC guidelines. She might even have been able to have a drink and some food at the same time - easier than doing a lumbar puncture of a baby while slurping your first fluid in a double shift.
