We’ve taken a Hippocratic oath to serve and do no harm, unfortunately politicians (labour and all) have taken the Hypocritical oath to SELF serve and SPREAD harm in its process. Its pathetic to see a saint turn sinner!!
Pathetic attempt by the GMC to avert attention to the widely acknowleged fact that they are the real "NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE" organisation.
Has the world become so dumb that we need headlines like these to state the obvious? What next, more doctors and nurses leads to better patient safety and satisfaction?
Matt Hancock: ‘Things are moving in the right direction’- yeah just passed the dentate line.
I hope your foreword to your books didn't go like other medical authors "I dedicate this book to my wife and kids who have supported me unwaveringly and to whom I apologise for not being their when they needed me most".
GMC should actively promote their "Duty of Candour" to the politicians and the royalty.
What GPs deserve and what GPs get is written in history.
It proves you are working on the front end (sorry dirty end of the stick) and your "senior" partner is probably cosing up in some BS meeting.
And also locally, CCG pledges, GMC pledges, NMC pledges, Trust pledges, HEE pledges, NHSI pledges, NHSE pledges, PCN pledges, RCP pledges, CQC pledges......PROMISES ARE MEANT TO BE BROKEN.
Racism is endemic in the NHS organisation too. Heard about the "Snowy white peaks of the NHS"? The full speil is "The snowy white peaks and sh**ty brown pits of the NHS". nEED TO SORT THE HOME FIRST BEFORE WE EVEN TRY TO SORT THE VISITOR (PATIENTS)!!
"GPs' working conditions are 'lonely' and 'damage' patient relationship, warns GMC" - with headlines like this good luck. PULSE seems to like shooting itself in the a***.
"Duty of Candour" is more pressingly needed in POLITICS.
GMC’s new skills test to help with international recruitment- The headline should read "GMC lowers standards to help international recruitment". GMC seems to advocate their whims on standards as and when they please!! WELL DONE THAT'S GOOD MEDICAL PRACTICE FOR YOU FROM THE HORSES MOUTH!!
When resources are finite and inept at delivering the visions from the IVORY TOWERS (NHS constitution, GMC, RCP, HEE, NHSI. NHSE......)its time to change them to what is actually acheivable. Common sense yeh!
"We want the CQC to be seen as a critical friend"- Good luck with that. Wonder how many such "critical friends" you have Bennyworth? btw you are fooling no one as your agenda is clear as daylight- desperately trying to prove the worth of your (and your pathetic organisation) existence and your 6 figure salary.
This country is NUTS, for once lets talk about the ELEPHANT i,e the person who DNAed. Seems like we like to blame everyone else (CONSULTANTS,ADMIN,SECONDARY CARE) apart from the culprit. Baby P, Victoria Climbe, Bawa-Garba to name a few on how this nutty country shirks from dealing with the reality. Maybe the almighty GMC has made us think this way- patients are always right/correct.
Hello Bennyworth - and who excatly puts a mirror upto the CQC?
Typical arms-length bodies trying to shirk from the reality and vainly attempting to prove thier exsistence(sorry 6 figure salary.
The only option in the current climate is for the CQC to lower its standards, what they rate shite now would become "outstanding" in the future- its called the genreral theory of relativity.
RCGP chair Professor Helen Stokes-Lampard said:However, it is clear that demand for this scheme hasn’t been as high as expected. You wonder why?? A basic message to people who make these decisions- SORT YOUR HOME OUT BEFORE LOOKING ABROAD. THEY PROBABLY HAVE IT BETTER THERE!!
What a load oif crap Patel, wear your NHS badge high you had a cushy ride I presume.
