Hahahahaha I dont know whether to laugh or cry at the cogswallop spewed out by the gmc these days. There are so many things wrong with the bawa garba case that I don't even know where to start!
How about a duty of care to the very doctors who are holding the nhs in place??
Family is almost always the reason why we come back, and who we ultimately toil and strive for.
I suggest you stick to your A&E job if you wanna 'solve cases'. The vast majority of locum GPs have made a choice based on work life balance, not their clinical ability or employability.
As for agencies, they are there if/when needed but most locums work directly for a few regular practices (so they do get to 'solve cases' after all!)
U totally concur. Bring on the slime bolus.
Excellent reflection, and 100% true.
What is the current OOH for? Sorry am I missing something here?
When can I start?
Yes, GPs in Australia, Canada etc
Let the exodus begin
The 'pregabalin problem' is much more widespread and expensive compared to tramadol/benzos. I think the government has a lot of catching up to do.
The NHS is amazing, and it's our job to support it.
Bonnie your comments are contradictory and confusing. You say we are on the same side but I cant seem to work out which side you're actually on!
I think the reality of this debate is that yes, GPs do earn good salaries just like bankers etc but its the public interface that brings us into the public light as opposed to bankers and businessmen who earn good money perhaps more silently.
In an recession hit witch hunt we are an easy target.
Wow. This is amazing.
The fact that almost all of these comments are anonymous speaks volumes about the "culture" that we currently live in.
