Dr Gillian Braunold is a GP in Kilburn in north London and a seasoned former LMC chair and GPC member.
She has needed every bit of that grounding to deflect flak in her role as clinical director for the Summary Care Record.
Dr Braunold has somehow managed to come across as a voice of reason even as the project has lurched from one crisis to another – with the latest controversy over the fast-tracked rollout placing her in direct conflict with the BMA subcommittee she once chaired.
