Concerned grassroot member
You are absolutely right, the wording is misleading and they are trying to persuade GPs to sign up. But again , it has been always their position. They have no regard for what emergency LMC conference mandated them to do. What makes BMA to be obsessed with PCNs? Does anyone know.BBOLMCs are the only LMC who have stood up for GPs
I thank delegates for truly representing the profession.Well done ! Now we know GPC does not represent the grassroot GPs. The motion should have mandated GPC to put any such future contracts to a vote.
More money to core contract and incentives to attract new partners will help. Go back to the drawing board. When you look at current decision making process, younger GPs are completely cut off from what is happening. Decisions are made mostly by senior GPs or principals nearing retirement. Some have taken retirement already or work very part time but remain in decision making bodies . The network DES destroys the General Practice as we have known it and the only opportunity younger GPs will have is to join as salaried staff in PCNs. You can already see this happening where new GPs are hired to work in hubs and to do extended hours shifts . Most of these projects are designed or negotiated by senior principals. Some money may come in initially for senior GPs to take and retire ( and they have had enough too ). This leaves the younger GPs to pick up the pieces. Hats off to BBO LMCs for standing up to bullish GPC. I am really confused why the rest of the LMCs in England are quiet and in doing so they are complicit in the destruction of General Practice. GPC no longer represents the grassroots GPs. Such fundamental reorganisation of General Practice should be put to a vote to all GPs . The conference will be an opportunity to express your views . Pulse ran a piece earlier stating that the conference on 11th of March can only express ‘dissatisfaction’ but GPC does not have to listen. It will be difficult not to listen to any overwhelming criticism by profession. Please vote with your conscience on 11th of March. The irony is a day earlier on 10th of March , Londonwide LMCs are running a conference in support of PCNs. With such ‘representatives’ , no wonder why we are in this situation.
Once again , Thank you BBO LMCs for having the guts to stand up for the profession. We owe you.
GPC must be hoping that coronavirus shuts down the conference.....
The profession has been betrayed
It is unlikely Londonwide LMCs would have time to do such fantastic work done by BBOLMCS .
LLMC are busy organising the following PCN conference.

Well Done Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire LMCs!
I dont think GPC is used this level of scrutiny. GPC thrives on herd mentality of GPs. Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire LMCs are a credit to the profession.
'BMA has confirmed to Pulse that the LMCs conference cannot overturn the negotiated GP contract, but merely express dissatisfaction,
This is because the GPC has negotiating rights'.
?Democratic dictatorship. What is the process of removing this 'right' GPC has to 'negotiate' on behalf of non-BMA (and BMA) members?
BMA is supporting minister?
Conference below is attended by prominent GPC members day after tomorrow

"In a statement the CCG said it has 'no control' over whether a GP practice decides to shut"
It appears CCG has 'facilitated' closure
Does anyone know why Londonwide LMCs are promoting PCNs when the whole profession including some leading LMCs are expressing grave concerns.
The email circulated invites GPs to

Ben /Harry , I dont mind if GPC negotiates pancakes in global sum, but - put it to a vote to the profession. They failed to do that. Now they could hear what the profession wants. Either resign or negotiate something and put to a vote.? not too complicated
Define delusion- 'an idiosyncratic belief or impression maintained despite being contradicted by reality or rational argument'
Reject Reject Reject
GPC has lost credibility. Any proposal should be put to entire profession for a vote.
The main PCN cheerleaders were GPC /LMC leaders. GPs were not given time to make informed decisions-many went with the flow. These significant changes were not put to a vote. It is important for non PCN practices to support each other. Can Pulse help to create an alliance of non-PCN practices. Or does anyone know how to form one
GPs need to wake up first. The biggest contract change since 1948. No debate , no vote , How is this acceptable.
