National Hopeless Service
And the new contract was an ideal opportunity to address at least some of these issues but achieved nothing. The BMA no longer serves GPs as people just numbers that do a job.
But we have Harry Potter
I think it needs extending to Hadrians wall and Offas dyke
Three short courses are far better than one long course stupidity
Brexit is buggered, the health system is buggered, policing is buggered, social care is buggered and Education is buggered. But thank goodness the Tories are looking after the economy.
This is the sort of inappropriate hyper-managed crap that is destroying the job. If all Welsh GP practices said get stuffed what is Minister Gething (in his plush, fully staffed office and lunch provided) going to do?
Easy. Brexit has only taken 3 years to sort out.....
A very long tunnel with a small candle at the end about to go out.
The NHS Choices reviews are interesting. Those moaning about the service are unable to get hands-on face to face treatment. The happy app'ies who love it seem to make regular use of it. Which suggest its created a demand that wasnt required for the trivia but unable to provide a service for the sick.
Where is the workload reduction? QoF volume hasnt ultimately changed and noctors are just a fudge.
A further reason to look into the function of screening and the use of statins. We are genetically programmed to die of something
has a single government initiated NHS IT system ever worked?
They should do a satisfaction survey for staff.....
Will push GPs closer to their pension limits quicker so early retirements will increase.
A totally broken system run by idiots.
We have access to two appointments per day on the other side of the county with no direct bus routes and for some strange reason the hub cant employ enough doctors so some days of the week it is closed. Darzi Centre'esk total waste of money yet again.
The problem is NHSE/CQC exists to 'control' General Practice. 'Managers' would be doing themselves out of some very lucrative jobs if most of this happened. I havent a clue what half the employees of my CCG do, I suspect very little thats actually useful.
The internal market is also just rubbish. Its obstructive to patient care, has made secondary care doctors lazy and is pointlessly bureaucratic for GPs.Get rid of that too.
Just wait until they have to start paying for healthcare fully...and it will happen.
Haven't we learnt from Brexit that if you ask an ill informed question you get a stupid answer. I asked a non medical friend this morning what he knew about the current contractual arrangements of GPs. Surprisingly he didn't have a clue.
The problem with trying to undo such 'initiatives' is that it has created a totally false demand of worried well/trivia and second opinion that wont now disappear.
Access in my practice hasnt changed. Its a societal issue. Free healthcare has downsides. In insurance/co-payments systems you pay higher rates/dont get cover if you dont participate in screening schemes.
