HOw about the radical approach of actually treating existing GPs better and working on retention?
Too right, 12,19. The quick sore throats and coughs will be gone meaning that the ultra complex patients will be back to back in 10 minute appointments with no prospect of catching up!
The NHS will soon be left with only nurse practitioners, paramedics and pharmacists to see the patients. the Drs are slowly being chased out of the country and into early reirement
Utterly incredible....they state they want to "reduce the burden" on GPs by making the assessments every year instead of every 5 years. Extraordinary!
no one believes a word he or anyone from DoH says anymore
If a payrise eventually comes it will probably mean giving up a few days holiday in return
Both GMC and DoH give the impression that they despise the medical profession
GMC need urgent reforming
I find EMIS web has a much more user friendly interface than Vision
The last thing they intend to do is give partners a rise. They still believe that partners are vastly overpaid and are looking for a much lower average salary
I acstually got paid more as a gp registrar in 2012 than as a salaried gp now, so it might not be a bad thing
No surprise whatsoever. It actually creates more work
Colouring books should help the situation
I genuinely think the end of general practice is in sight
Utterly incredible that she is putting the blame on GPs
They are doing everything they can to discourage partnerships so that corporates can take over
"The NHS problems are unacceptable" says Hunt. Whose been in charge of it for the last 6 years??
I really hope this is successful and then taken up in the rest of the uk.
