What about doing away with home visits completely and asking other services to do them so we can get on with seeing the majority of patients that come to the surgery as an idea
what about after Brexit ?
Over regulation for GPs and under regulation for MPs !! We are expected to have protocols for everything including harassment etc when they have none. Come on guys lets just say No it shouldn't even be up for discussion until they get their house in order
Just another access point and using money to try to entice already overworked GPs to work more hours for cash.
lets hope a million people register and watch how they cope with demand then !
Playing into the hands of middle class google searching people who worry about there health and will take no responsibility for themselves .The worried well and cherry picking like the private hospitals do with surgical procedures. Creating another access point which will always get used. Good luck staffing it Babylon health !
Total Farce the taxpayer is funding this why doesn't the Government just fund whatever they want from CQC and leave us out of it and save some money on administration of refunding
It always amazes me this never reaches front page news but rather doctor bashing continues. Will the last GP out turn off the lights when you leave please
I have the Mug on my desk which says " please do not confuse your google search with my medical degree" works a treat !
Shouldn't it be Police Force trying to destabilise local GP practices by asking them for free medical reports
Biggest problem is that hospitals tell patients to go back to the GP for another referral as they cannot give them an appointment as they have none after an ereferral has been made !
what if we already do this are we going to get extra extra funding for doing this !"!
i think we should start selling fresh fruit and veg in our waiting rooms too and make all the elderly a hot water bottle at night with there GP going round to make them a hot chocolate for bedtime
My advice would be recruit in South Africa , well trained doctors and all would like to leave if they can !
I feel very sorry for these doctors who like all of us are trying everything possible to make our practices work. When NHS England say they are supporting us it never feels that way. They are warned years before regarding issues like this and never help until the end is nigh.
And in 10 years time the practice will split and form brand new smaller practices as part of an innovation process saying this is the new way forward for better patient care !
What i find interesting is that none of this seems to hit the front pages of the national press ! The only way to help these patients and GPs is for this to happen and become a aminstream issue. it is not about political parties just plain decent healthcare and no planning for the future. All and sundry seem too scared to tell the public we can only afford certain things and that is that. it is happening all over the world even new Zealand and Australia are having the same problems with primary care so lets start to be open about it and speak about it.
I suggest the GPC/BMA actually stand up and say that No GPs will work in A/E as our practices need us more !
very sad to hear this our independent contractor status is an important motivating tool going salaried will devalue the workforce and future Gps will become even more undervalued than before.
She si obviously going to get a lot of support from local Gps
