Farewell and good luck, Nigel! You have done our profession proud in raising the profile of what it really is to be a GP practising in the current climate. Thanks also for introducing us to some brilliant female GP writing talent from Shaba and Zoe.
Brilliant article as always. Other commentators may need to reflect that it's not women who have the monopoly over working 6 sessions. A majority of my male colleagues and almost all those males who are of my cohort do similar.
Clearly the headline is written by the copy editor, the author does not have that editorial control.
Beautifully pithily put as always Zoe.
Consistently as entertaining and humourous a GPpolemic as you'll find anywhere.
Brilliant! You seriously should think about writing a regular blog or something. Maybe the future will bring the realisation of one of those "digital" rectal examination tools that my BPH patient had read up on. That turned into a disappointing consult.
I think we need to be mindful that as I understand it, the author hasn't yet got their CCT, so we should temper comments accordingly. Perhaps the wisdom and experience that will come from the travails of independent practise will contribute to an increased cynicism. We shall see.
