As a 65 year old man who had varicella as a child. I think the age grouping of 70 years of age is too high. Especially for people like me who are immuno-compromised due to diabetes. As having shingles as a consequence of childhood infection with vaicella, is a miserable and painful experience!
As a patient last year there was a two month waiting time for a flu jab for vulnerable people like me suffering from diabetes. I think choice and patient wait times are the drivers here
What has happened to the data protection act regarding who are the data controllers. Reading this article makes me very concerned about the 'stick 'approach being used to obtain data. As Data is a precious resource and choice should come into the equation
Has the shadow health secretary ever been out with a district nurse because if he has he would know how difficult care in the community is, even with such initiatives as the hospital at home team? I believe in the fact that due to a shrinking young population. We will not have enough skilled nurses to go round , so it will be carers picking up the tab for care in the community and more hospital closures . I have worked as a district nurse and found the job to be impossible due to unrealistic work loads and data entry requirements ( Rio)
