Using Skype or the Google equivalent provides an effective alternative to 'face to face' consultations, and could be more effective for some patients as research shows that people are more candid when conversing through a computer interface.
The time saved is essential for practitioners, in these high throughput targets.
One thing though that should be considered is the fact that it is quite easy to hack computer systems, resulting inn the possibility that confidentiality is compromised.
