I'm a single handed GP who does 2 visits a week
I don't think this would give me much extra time.
When I was a trainee almost 30 years ago I think the great and the good in the RCGP suggested that the a GP should treat around 1200 patients. If there was adequate funding for this then that would have a much bigger impact
Who is driving this?
Is it just Babylon or is there HMG funding?
A bold, big announcement and then a "slightly" less bold deal. Hardly a surprise!!
If there is a crisis in GPland isn't 12-18months a little long to wait?
Why does it take so long??
I know it was first threatened in the 1960's but, I'm fairly sure then there wasn't an anticipated delay of 2 years when GPs handed in their undated resignations
Industrial action is supposed to have a detrimental impact!
What about Scotland?
This a prison service problem and a department of health problem
NOT a GP problem
When will ALL GPs get their defence subs paid? Or does this already happen in England ( promised in Scotland but not a reality yet I think?)
Pharmacists are excellent business people , I assume any savings by HMG will be short lived
I agree that they aren't a union but they should be supportive to " coalface" GP's Ideas ,Concerns and Expectations
( See what did there!!)
Too little, too late?
so worse off than before GMS2, with HUGE increase in workload and pension contributions. In fairness over 80%, of those who voted, voted for it!
Indemnity paid, yes please
Shouldn't we be lobbying the government to spend the European average on health care before supporting cuts. Be careful , may end up like Turkey's voting for christmas
Why should practices have to " claim" for monies owed? Rediculious
I'm a Scottish GP so I'm intruding on English grief, but even if the government wants GPs to resign what other choice do GPs have? - incidentally if GPs do resign, (just as if junior doctors had continued to Strike) we would win. By not resigning J. Hunt will definitely win
Consistently poles suggest the majority of people would pay more taxes to fund the NHS (although it would be nice if big companies paid there due) Until we fund the NHS to the European average I think it is too early to claim it is unsustainable and not fit for purpose
When is this line in the sand going to be drawn and signed resignations handed in
Time is running out, if there is a Tory landslide
