Absolutely wrong. The amount left out will be in the high ninety percentage. In my CCG only a gainful of doctors out of hundreds have been involved and only the ones with political ambitions.
I pride myself in being exceptionally organised and on top of things. I still am, but it's getting harder and harder. So much box ticking and regulation and it's getting worse.
The new Propulse machines have a known fault in and WILL always eventually fail. We are on our 4th or 5th set, but luckily I've managed to get hold of two (free) brand new old style ones, so will be good for years. Funnily enough, one of our 4/5th new ones failed today, so I will be returning for a full refund now and will not be requesting a replacement. I think it's disgusting that suppliers and the manufacturer are still supplying them knowing full well that most will fail eventually. I've worked out what's wrong with them. They keep going longer if you keep them on charge ALL the time. They stop working once the charge goes below a certain level which points to a failure of the electronic control circuits, so why they cannot fault find this is beyond me! (I was a qualified electronic engineer in a past life).
In Essex we are considering United action on this. If practices hand over confidential information to an organisation known or suspected to have serious information governance shortcomings, the ICO have confirmed that practices could be liable for any resulting breaches of IG. However practices are under contract to hand over records to CityLink. Do we risk breaching the GMS contract or breaching data protection laws? Rock and hard place...
Surely they realise that's it's the Government cuts that is the root cause being CCGs having to restrict services?
Very proud to work with Freda, Bonnie and Selina at Great Bentley Surgery.
I would like to think they will be there to send all the inappropriate A&E visits away and educate people, but they'll probably treat them instead and reinforce that behaviour.....Am I being cynical? probably. Am I being realistic? hell yes!
The LAT also asked for practices to submit a 'proposal' before any actual agreement. I would love to know if any practices asked for more than £80ph and actually got it. As they were so 'desperate' did any practice manage to negotiate more? Surely a FOI request would be appropriate to see if they paid the same to all practices that opened?
