Who will actually be looking after the complex and truly sick?
No problem with vets, but what about the entire population being failed. Tokenism on part of NHSE does not fix the underlying problem.

Good point, medicine is increasinly driven by technology and our access is restricted, making us look like a throwback to olden times. If an mri can give an answe, seems luddite to restrict availability. Our ‘specialist’ colleagues maybe want to keep the cachet. Also we are pretty thin on radiologists, probably all reporting your scans!
Ever tried flogging a dead horse?
The only good news is I will have left, and no multi-disciplinary nonsense is not the answer! Underskilled and lacking in knowledge to assess undifferentiated illness is a recipe for disaster. WE NEED MORE GPs, simple.
This is just depressing, that a once proud profession is being dismantled with substitutes without the required skills. God help the sick. I still find the job challenging and have been doing it for over 30 years. The outcome will be either that loads of stuff will be missed and/or the remaing GPs will be overwhelmed with complex cases, increasing their vulnerability to burnout and complaints.
Pseuds corner seems sensible compared to this!
