4 – Professor Chris Ham

Formerly a leading health policy academic at the health services management centre at the University of Birmingham, Professor Ham is now chief executive of the King's Fund, an independent health charity.

The King's Fund recently published a wide-ranging report, two years in the making, into quality in general practice, which found ‘wide variations in performance' and urged the Government to review the way GP performance is assessed.
