What is a great leveller is the first time you see someone admitted being extremely ill with a quinsy and requiring emergency surgery with all it,s possible consequences three days after being told by another doctor it was a viral infection etc. Having to placate the patient defend your partner and prevent a major complaint is a very sobering experience and stays with you. There is no experience like experience!
How about creating a few hundred virtual A and E's across the country and save these poor individuals from having to leave their homes to access the first ports of call for healthcare needs?
Perhaps the RCGP can use these stats in their efforts to counter the negativity towards GP world from young medical graduates.Best of luck.
Why don't the RCGP arrange a meeting with Paul Dacre and his editorial colleagues if they truly want to address the source of the 'toxic anti GP culture'.?
Unfortunately I don't think HMG are interested in No of appointments per 1000 patients. What they want is surgeries open from 8 till 8 seven days per week.Remember this was in their manifesto and will have full public support when it is proposed after forthcoming report into OOH.
Laugh out loud funny indeed.Brilliant!
Congratulations Phil and richly deserved.Looks like you may have secured an alternative career away from the delights of GP world. Good for you!
Brilliant.Sums it up perfectly!
