I’m friends with one of the EU GPs that was brave enough to start working here. A year in and he’s already depressed. He just signed up with the local OOHs provider so he could drop his sessions. Complaints from patients are coming thick and fast due to cultural clashes, his colleagues dump all the crap they can on him pay him peanuts. Lovely job that is.
Fantastic! One more way to make easy cash 😃
I told my better half not to take my surname when we got married. She is white and English for many generations. Now she gets discriminated against and she even has people speak slowly and very loud to her when they see/hear her surname. She no longer laughs at me when I tell her racism is rife.
Closed means CLOSED Jamie. Nobody stays behind to catch up on admin during those half days. At least the surgeries that I’ve worked for.
Probably no different from what many GPs do in daily practice.
SHOW ME THE MONEY 💰
It’s becoming GP led in Norfolk and it’s making a hell of a difference. Patients are starting to call 111 instead of their own surgeries. 111 nurses still need a lot of support though through no fault of their own.
The AKT is also weighted in favour of white British trained doctors. It suits a particular mind set as does the CSA. The whole issues arises from the RCGP thinking all future GPs should be almost identical. Big mistake and it’s only a matter of time before they get caught out. The only reason they haven’t yet is because the entire political/ruling classes are also cardigans ( for lack of a better word )
NHS= an albino sunbathing naked in the Sahara desert in the middle of August without sunscreen.
Racism is finding excuses to normalise bias.
Collaborators faced the firing squad once upon a time. Now they get gongs .
How much time have you spent as a frontline jobbing GP Professor Howe?
GPs are being culled. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
Fewer trainers then.
Lots of African registrars appearing in my area recently and all of a sudden. Lovely and competent as they are most will leave very soon after they qualify and then what?
Sticking plasters will not fix an amputation .
I think this lesion could be sinister according to years of training, experience and gut feeling.
Dr No Time To Waste on BS
Is the need for sessional GPs increasing by any chance?
Here’s a sticker. Oh no! You’ve been naughty, sticker removed. What a farce. 🤮
