RLE.
Dont give a NHS appointment for this work?DVLA tells drivers to get GP sign-off before re-applying for revoked licenses
Make it clear that this is not NHS work and there will be a fee.Make sure the fee reflects your time costs. If patient objects ask them to complain to DVLA who are forcing them to have this done!!
GMC investigating 30 doctors over online prescribing
Because thats what NHSE wants us to do!!.However meds can be put on repeats and you can order without speaking to GP.
Calling from the other end of the road
Is there any specific reason that you have chosen to malign male doctors? would it have been ok if i had written the similar article for a male patient and said the ''the doe eyed female doctor inspecting her nails and not sure of what to do was not his type''?
Dilemma: A frail patient has no means to pick up an urgent script
Alan,
Shall we deliver the groceries too?Dilemma: A frail patient has no means to pick up an urgent script
Situation next month.
Dr Pipin delivers her medication himself. I dont see why you cant!!BMA considering 'all legal options' to challenge GP at Hand rollout
WHY??? This is the only way forward to break the NHS monopoly which is so bad for health professionals.Would you rather become Virgin care employees??
RCGP will no longer accept Babylon as sponsor of its annual conference
''Professor Hawthorne said: ‘At a time when hardworking GPs are feeling the impact of GP shortages on a daily basis, we are extremely disappointed that Babylon chose to use our conference as a platform for hosting a recruitment event that could potentially lure more GPs away from the NHS.’''
when will our ''leaders'' come off this obsession with ''saving the NHS'' ? Why not try to lead GPs into a uncertain future and develop alternatives to the NHS?GPs to face ban on OTC prescribing for self-limiting illnesses
... and if a punter complains? I hope they will also advise the general public of the ban and not put weasel get out clause for themselves!!
This contract is our best chance to rescue general practice
Rescue from what?
from a NHS monopoly employer that its squeezing us by the proverbial?
Its NOT your job to ''save the NHS''. You are there to protect DOCTORS interests. At present they will be best served if your worked towards allowing a private service to develop so that an alternative source of income is made available..BMA 'alive to the issue' that Scottish GPs could be taxed as salaried
He told Pulse: ‘We are very alive to this issue
Seriously??
BMA is alive?? wow!!!How can it be right to hit us with a £265k bill for premises costs?
BMA is 'supporting'' them.
Good luck with that.
Better to get good lawyers and see if you have a legal case and sue. If there is no case close the practice. The fact that there will be no GP there is not your problem. Take a business decision.BMA to consider legal option if Capita problems are unresolved by January
The BMA has given NHS managers a deadline of the end of December to resolve the problems with Capita, or face potential legal action,
hahahaha....The BMA has given a deadline.....hahahaha....and will take action that helps doctors?...hahahahaha...yeah right.GPC to 'seek legal advice' over Babylon's attempt to register London patients
Thank God I don't waste my money on the BMA. It no longer represents doctors interests. This is an attempt at removing the monopoly employer status of the NHS and opening more avenues for the profession. And what does the BMA do? wastes members money by working AGAINST members interests!!
GP leaders vote down proposal for struggling practices to go private
But he added: 'I must ask conference in view of the message... that this will send out, that you vote against this motion.'
No wonder doctors are leaving the BMA. The BMA just does not represent doctors interests anymore. Its Obsolete.GP leaders vote down proposal for struggling practices to go private
She argued that it would be a 'betrayal' against the 'principles of the NHS', and that the UK, as the fifth largest economy 'can afford the NHS'.
It is NOT the job of the doctors to keep the NHS going!! its the job of the citizens who vote and the govt they vote for. allowing private services to develop will give medical professionals an opportunity NOT to depend on NHS for their income. It will make like better for medical professional. But I guess thats TOO much for the save the NHS brigade. Why do you insist on making everyones life miserable.??Four practices to close in Plymouth for not fitting with 'national blueprint'
Hey Pharmacist...perhaps you want to mention how Pharmacists are fleecing the NHS?
Despite everything, general practice is still the best job in the world
The first step towards sorting out a problem is to recognise that there is a problem which is making things really bad. So snap out of it!!
GMC chief executive Niall Dickson to step down
Good riddance.
How we freed up 10 hours of clinical time by re-organising our consulting rooms
Dear Harry Longman,
I found your statement interesting.Could you clarify to all us interested doctors what the''different way of thinking'' is? How exactly is a GP practice to modify its processes to ''demand led''when there is no funding to increase resources to provide service?and unlike toyota/Nissan we cant lay off and hire at will?Could you also explain just how does remote consulting free up Dr time and availability? How exactly does SKYPE allow me to see more patients? How does it reduce the demand? How does it increase ability to do ''more''?The main difference Harry, between engineering and Medicine is that in Engineering you put the machine off to make it safe...we cant do that.
