This is what is needed. GPs should stop overworking and stop doing OOH. make a group and offer paid appointments at a viable cost. thats what the govt wants...do it ...make good money.......and get no abuse.
a win win situation. Its NOT your job to "save" the NHS.U merely work for it. start this and the monopoly employer problem is solved..

Nurse at 1:44 has not trivialised anything. she hs described her experience.
Dr Maureen Baker, chair of the RCGP, said: ‘The MRCGP exam was ruled to be just and fair at a judicial review in April.
''However the judge presiding over the case declared that the time had come to act on differentials in the pass rates between white and non-white trainees taking the CSA exam.''
Don't try to confuse the issues Dr Baker. The judge has made it clear that there is much to be desired in the way the exam is run.I suggest instead of contorting yourself into making excuses you get down to doing what the court has said.
Dr Ramesh, 50000 pounds can be easily collected. Please send a email to all indian doctors on your list the way it was done at the time of HSMP review . we need to stand together. the BMA will not help us. Leave it.
Complete waffling argument from Kailash Chand and no firm plan to support doctors interests.
Practices are not ''failing''. They are being failed due to lack of proper funding and as a result the business is going under. The save the NHS arguments are useless. The joe public is not bothered with whats happening to you so stop crying what will happen to them. IT is the govts responsibility to make provision for health care NOT yours. You are merely the instrument they hire to deliver. If the hire paid is not enough then it cant be done. Only when the practices close will the public start screaming and remedial measures done.LET THEM CLOSE.(not fail). Dont vote for Wrigley next time. Throw the whole lot out.
So, What happened at the presentation?? Any support from the politicians/punters.
Please think before you support this. all this petition will do is give grounds /reason for DoH to push more work on to you at lower funding because you want to ''save general practice'' and with that ''save the NHS''. Let it crash.and then work for better terms preferably as a private setup.
so in view of the above I will NOT be signing the petition.
WHY??? why in gods name are we doing this?? Let the practices close.Let there be complete mayhem. and then we can renegotiate proper terms for providing the service. If not then bulk contracts can go to the big contracters and we open private practices. That will lead to losses for the big providers and they will reduce services. All the better for us. The patients will be screwed but frankly my dear I dont give a damn. They dont give a damn about us anyway.
why? This is how a business is run.Clear vision is key.
If your income is falling like that is there ANY reason why you should be a partner?? In this case YOU are paying to provide health service to your registered punters. from a business point of veiw you and your partners should dissolve the practice and work as a salaried /locum. Patients will suffer?? TOUGH.Not your responsibility to provide adequate health cover. That job is of DoH.
3:58...are you a pharmacist? Is there any pharmacy that does not do shady deals?
NICE HAS GONE .........MAD! Is there no limit to this idiocy of what is expected for GPs to do?? How about the relatives of these people taking some responsibility for their loved ones?
''Since then, my drawings have reduced and my workload increased further. I'm now earning less than I did as a salaried doctor, and my hours are 25-33% longer.'' if this is true and the same is true for your partners ....and you still are staying as partners in a GP business...then I am sorry but you deserve the crap thrown by the govt at you. You all need to dissolve the practice and become locum /salaried.

Can i ask how much is the individual income now per session?? if its like being salaried then dissolve. What happens to ''patients'' is non of your business. Its theresponsibility of the Government
If you cant pay yourself a reasonable wage then its pointless to carry on. Shut the practice down and work for a good wage and limited hours for whatever replaces it. This will keep happening till our leaders don,t plan to go the dentist way.
Sue them for harrassment and stress and defamation. Its only when they have to cough up huge amounts for foolish actions will they stop doing them.
I think Bapio has learnt with past experience that the ''constructive ''way forward as far as the BMA and RC's are concerned is to try to maintain the status quo.Thats not acceptable. a large number of BMA members are affected by this and its right that the BMA supports them or else it should make clear that it does not want Asian doctors as its members and we wont then waste our money there.as it is the BMA support to asian doctors is minimal.
Sorry I don't agree to this ''brave '' action. Medical records are held by the GP practice on behalf of sec health. So if patient concern so concerned they need to start a publicity campaign to inform patients to opt out. Please stop putting all responsibility on the GP. Time for patients to some responsibility for themselves
