At last capability for work will be assessed by those who have the training and competencies in law to do so...Occupational health clinicians. Occupational health has always been the only part of healthcare not free at the point of need. This will end the light duties advice unfortunately given by some GPs and will provide job specific advice to employers which they can interpret and accommodate within the needs of their business. It will help people to keep their jobs. I for one say about time!
