NHS England’s head of general practice development, told delegates at the RCGP’s Annual Conference that GPs have 'chosen' to work in 10-minute appointment slots, which he said is 'unethical'.
I presume the good doctor has a duty to report this unethical behaviour to the GMC?
if you have signed a lease you cannot walk away, you are responsible for the rent and service charges. If your successor decides not to stay in the premises you have leased, you are bankrupt.
we have lost GPs due to the unsupportive approach of the indemnity companies.
The big providers see indemnity as a club that they can exclude doctors from for no specified reason.
My favourite was the emergency appointment for blue finger and toe nails, patient worried as 'doctor google' suggested respiratory compromise.
After some head scratching, I scrapped off the nail varnish, which had been clear when the patient applied the previous day but discoloured to blue over night!!
voice recognition software for clinical records would save time and make the consultation, patient centred rather than computer centred.
The software technicians at EMIS have not realised that using a mouse makes it hard to maintain eye contact with the patient.
this is an example of very poor journalism
Stamp duty is payable on purchase of property
Capital gains tax is payable on disposal (if there is a gain)
Please research articles more carefully or ask a reputable accountant to write about financial matters. This firm of solicitors have either been misquoted, or do not understand the matter.
I subscribe to guinea pig,monthly.
A recent article about the effect of shredded newspaper as bedding on guinea pigs received sharp rebukes from owners of hamsters and rabbits. They were distressed that there was undue focus on guinea pigs ignoring the suffering of other rodents.
Mark Carri misses the point, the value of the GP is sifting the jumble of presenting symptoms, to decide what is the cause. Might be physical, psychological or social, each needs a plan of action to keep the patient a useful and active member of society.
Saftey netting and review in case your plan of action fails.
So far Google does not do this.
I fully agree with Clare Gerada, but what can we do about it and how quickly?
is this an advertorial?
a useful check list thanks to the london wide LMC for great support
not so bad in australia if the GP stayed for 10 years and is still there?
