We should probably just do away with all hospital doctors and just have GPs run the show. Isn't that the way we are heading as we seem to do everything for free?
Agree with another last man standing. If they don't do it'll come back to us to find the appropriate drug. More help the better.
I'm sure we could have told them that for free. Good job the government is distracted by Brexit
So 2 in 5 GPs are planning to leave in the next three years. The job is aldeady inpossible now, i cant imagine whaf it would ve like if that many did leave. And all the GMC can do is issue another warning which will fall in death ears.
Did the study find out how much coprescribing of gabapentinoids and opiates was started by pain clinics?
Wow. I'm sure nothing will come of this though.
Sounds like the final nail in the coffin to me
The RCGP should try to stay politically neutral. They shouldn't have said this
Bearing in mind 'primary care' encompasses pharmacists, opticians, dentists and general practice. This means a very small amount will come our way. Pathetic. No wonder her party is against her.
Do you really think we can persuade millennials to take a tablet every night for the next 30 years on the off chance it might do some good. Totally agree with Doctor McDoctor Face. What are we actually trying to achieve.
Can we first define what a full time GP is? 9 sessions, 8 sessions, 7 sessions? 37.5 hours? If we don't get this starting point nailed then the rest is doomed.
Do We have a zero tolerance on verbal abuse also? Or is this tolerated?
And I'm sure those management consultants had more than a 2% pay rise this year.
I don't think the government will ever do this as who mops up all the extra work? There is no extra capacity or money. We desperately need a cap on maximum patient contacts per day but the government have no interest in bringing this in. We have to force their hand and threaten strike action as our calls for change have been falling on deaf ears for years.
When are these stories finally going to make the nationals? It's scandalous this goes on. These schemes are clearly a conflict of interest and must not be allowed. I would like to know the colleges position on this?
And how many hospitals are good or outstanding? What upper rubbish. You haven't invested in general practice as you didn't want to. Dont patronise us with this rubish
Considering the bureaucracy we face comes from him and his department does this means he's resigned?
If the GMC has breached GDPR rules shouldn't they be fined €20milliom or 4% of turnover? I would like to see them reflect on that. And are they selling our contact details to these research companies??
Remind how much high court judges are after? This is a pointless PR exercise by the BMA. An extra 1% will make no real difference to staff retention or morale. Shame on you BMA. You need to do better.
Pathetic. How much of the 18K will go on stamp duty then they try to buy a house here? And doctors are paid peanuts in the UK compared to down under. Not a chance.
