  • GPs ‘giving up’ on month-long process to join Covid assessment phone line

    Ano's comment 11 May 2020 10:21am

Like many other locum GPs I starred my application to the CCAS at its inception. I have only just gone past the Credentiality check 10 days ago, and am now waiting for the online education section.
I somehow cannot envisage ever getting any work from them, as I gather even when signed up there are very few sessions available due to the large number of available doctors, despite them saying they need more doctors.
Similarly sign up to CareUK has taken 6 weeks only to find no sessions available for at least 3 weeks for remote triage.
Fortunately I still have a few locum sessions not cancelled.. However many of my locum colleagues have absolutely nothing.
