Evidence of benefit?
Well said, Kamal.
But lets be honest, there is no goodwill left any more.
Why do you always post in all capitals john?
All of a sudden you want employment benefits but don’t want to be an employee?
Maybe you’d like to take some partnership drawings as well even though you’re not a partner? It’s only fair in these troubled times, right?
Prevention does not save money in the long run, it actually ends up costing more. We’ve been recycling this fallacy for decades and still can’t seem to realise it, despite ongoing increases in the costs of funding the NHS.
I am NOT saying prevention is bad (prevention is good and I support it), what I am saying is that is does not save money for the health system.
But don’t forget that The Hospital is the centre of the universe and all other services/providers orbit it like specs of dust. The Hospital is all important.
Anecdotal reports of GPs sending patients to A&E in higher numbers than The Hospital deems appropriate?
They must be stopped!
The Prime Minister must be informed!
Ah but Francis, the suspension of needless activities like CQC prep, appraisals, QOF, pointless meetings etc etc has freed us up to do clinical work, so we don’t NEED locums to plug the gaps.
Actually, they might. In our area we have a care home enhanced service which pays better money for less work than the PCN one.
Not really. The guidance says ‘severe respiratory conditions’ so implies bronchiectasis, ILD etc etc
I agree. They don’t even do those things on the list during business-as-usual, let alone a pandemic. We’re getting dumped on extra hard for the next 3+ months, above and beyond the standard dumping, and we know it.
GMC showed its true colours with Dr Bawa Garba. You reap what you sow.
‘All primary care consultations should be carried out remotely unless there are clinical or practical reasons not to’
The reason not to is that they are unsafe.
The unpredictable nature of the way the pension pot grows every year means you can still be landed with a tax bill, changing the threshold of the taper does not solve that.
THIS DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM
‘ I need no retraining, refreshing or re-education to do any of this.’
After six years out of practice??
But CQC already proudly announced that there would be no concessions for staffing or workload pressures.
They dug their own grave.
