Did I hear correctly? Does the Chief Scientific Officer want to create herd immunity by letting the population catch the disease? I thought we did this via immunization, not by allowing vulnerable people to die. And when it mutates each year just like the flu virus, what use will herd immunity be? Is this man really in charge? Really?
But will they pay the full pension (instead of the standard half-pension) to the spouse of anyone who returns and dies?
Do not return without this guarantee.
'Continuity of care has worsened 'due to part-time GPs''
The clue is in the title, Smart Boy.
If you seriously want retired doctors (who by virtue of their age are at the highest risk) to fill any gaps in the virus-affected workforce, then you need to commit to awarding next of kin the full pension, not the current half pension, should any doctor die. Until this is forthcoming, then no doctor should consider coming back.
Think of how much pension they will save if all the old retired doctors happen to succumb....what a cunning plan.
Dear Boris and Matt,
As my grandmother used to say, better not to ask, as a refusal often offends.
No chance whatsoever.
£18K? I wouldn't relocate in a UK GP practice for £1.8million!
Is this not a breach of confidentiality? What if Mr Jones doesn't want Mrs Jones to know he went to see the GP and there's a knock at the door from PHE? Be very careful.
Good to get definitive guidance from the R Souls group. I hear that the Belly-Button Fluff Removal panel are meeting in July. This will certainly be another GP task. It just remains to be seen whether they order us to remove it with our teeth or not.
