Is anyone surprised ?. The phrase "wither on the vine " keeps cropping up from our "leaders" . Feels like we're on a runaway (virgin) train
This is accelerating the decline not providing a solution . Good profit margin for the Ltd company though whilst individuals take the risk . Looking at the ten they all seem sensible . Extraordinary if they can't see they'll be dropped like a stone with the first complainant .
I am there and looking to leave at 43
Dr Dean Hatfull
Fareham Centre Practice
Fareham Health Centre
My friend and partner recently died suddenly at 46 . This gives one an acute perspective. I'm 43, 14 years a partner , trained numerous GPs , love my practice and still get reward from the job.....but looking to leave altogether. We are being shoehorned into failure through chronic underfunding and there is no fix. It feels like a war of attrition we are loosing .Real lives are being lost. Politicians really don't give a shit about us - cannon fodder - expendable.
I will resign as a trainer
I do not want to be held accountable for just getting people through who shouldn't be GPs
Disaster pending . Why aren't these people seeing patients rather than pontificating and posturing? Agree previous comment - in no way does this represent grass roots opinion
No more needed...... "academic"
No risks or responsibility
No pressures or fears of inadequacy
Not in her place of work 2 hours after official contracted hours .... As I am now
I have nothing but contempt for your remarks
Speaking to a senior person in our Deanary recently who privately says GP gone beyond the point of no return .
7.13 you're right
Our "leaders" will be protected in overpaid management jobs rather than doing the job they are trained for. The rest of us will be salaried drones, professionalism gone and working to rule . Really sad article .
Lies upon more lies
Sick of it
I've been a GP for decades and he's right - I don't get mental health. 20% of my workload + all the hidden agenda stuff -I've just ignored all this time and put it down to stress. Mr Lamb - you are a tool
Wow- several applications?!
Is this a net gain given several hundred are leaving. Utter shambles. Having been generally treated like s**t by NHSE they are now our buddies. Most of us look upon them as the enemy we cannot fight.
Canada looks attractive
So with full delegation of commissioning I wonder which budget will be raided to balance the books?
GMC to introduce 'emotional resilience' training after finding 28 doctors under investigation committed suicide
Really worrying . Disproportionately high suicide rate is damning of the current GMC process. Most of us are not sociopaths and really care about our patients/reputation and thus it is easy to see why this happens.
Was thinking about emigrating but with this breaking news it's all change ....not
We are despised by the DOH why would they be nice to us ? Is there an election coming up ... Wait a minute
The last nhs manager post is spot on. The first obviously works outside primary care and has no idea. An trolling anonymous post
Why is the moderator not allowing free debate ?.i have just seen a comment that is about to be removed . It offends no one and makes a fair point . What are you scared of?
If we disagree with our peers when it is our livelihood at stake what happens? We are member constituents and unlike with NHSE , we can potentially call for a vote of no confidence in the board and hold them to account.
Harry.. The way you scribe is probably the way you talk... Utter nonsense speak.
