Anger as BBC portrays GPs as villains

Dr Sudhakar Khandavalli has spoken of his 'total shock' after discovering his practice had been petrol-bombed during the night.

Vandals had climbed on to the roof of the single-storey building, prised tiles off and thrown a homemade bomb inside, caving in the roof over his consultation room and a nurses' room next door.

Dr Khandavalli, a GP in Huyton, Merseyside, has had to relocate staff and records to a neighbouring practice in order to continue to treat patients, but repairs could take three months.

'I'm still dazed and confused,' he said. 'I just can't imagine why anybody would do it.'
