Why do you class Colin-Thome as a GP? As you point out in your article he works for the DH and retired from General Practice in 2007. When he was a GP, I viewed him simply as a self-appointed expert adviser to the DH and I personally hold him responsible for much that has happened to our profession in recent years. I hope his knighthood when it comes is adequate recompense to him for the way that he has sold us down The Swanee. Please do not refer to him as a GP in future. Richard Falk

Interesting how Scotland is largely excluded both from the panel and from the resulting list. Georgina Brown
