Work? There are 55 GP surgeries in Cardiff according to the NHS Wales website, so there's plenty of scope for jobhunting.

Homes? You might want to cast an eye over a four-bedroom period Victorian end-of-terrace double-bay-fronted traditional property in this convenient location at £374,950.

Schools? The mixed Cardiff High School was 26th in The Times list of best comprehensives.

Leisure? The National Museum and Gallery house the biggest collection of impressionist paintings outside Paris. There are castles and museums aplenty. Aquatic activity in Cardiff Bay and in Wales, you're never far from a mountain or two and some of the UK's most spectacular coastal scenery.
