Brush up your musculoskeletal care skills

GPs can update their knowledge on one of the most challenging clinical areas in general practice with the launch of a new Pulse seminar on musculoskeletal medicine.

The one-day event is the first of a series of Pulse clinical seminars following on from the success of seminars on commissioning and GP premises.

Specialists in rheumatology, orthopaedics and sports medicine will talk GPs through potentially tricky topics such as use of DMARDs and anti-inflammatory injections.

The event is designed as a refresher for GPs who want to find out about the latest developments and brush up their clinical skills. Delegates will also get the chance to practise their hand injection technique. A central theme will be how GPs can help patients with rheumatological conditions – and how they can reduce unnecessary referrals.

The event will take place in London on 10 October.
