CBT may combat major depression

Where does Patricia Hewitt get her information that people want choice (News, May 21)? I suspect youngsters might, or those who go infrequently to their doctor, but the majority of users are the poor, chronically sick, mentally ill or homeless.

They want continuity of care, not just speed of access. More and more this country seems to be evolving into a Kafkaesque state and the images of Animal Farm are looming ever larger.

Am I the only one who sees this parallel? Why is there such passivity out there? Pulse's campaign is a start but where is the political opposition to such ideologues?
