CJD guide for GPs launched

A booklet on Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease for GPs has been launched by the Brain and Spine Foundation. Called CJD A Guide for GPs, it contains information on the different types of CJD, disease progression and support and treatment options available.

Author Dr Richard Knight, consultant neurologist at the National CJD Surveillance Unit in Edinburgh, said it followed a survey suggesting CJD patients and carers wanted more advice from their GP.
