Anonymous misses the point. A few initiates of the cult of homeopathy will know what Nux Vom and Belladonna are 'for'. But most shoppers in Boots do not have this esoteric knowledge and would have depended on point of sale reference material.
With that gone, the survival of homeopathy in Boots will depend on how successful that material was in persuading shoppers that the sugar pills were for specific complaints. Hoping that they will pause, look up on the internet what to do, then return and buy, is a big hope. But then homeopaths are used to big hopes.
I do not know what percentage of purchases were made because of these illegal point of sale materials. But I suspect that these homeopathy displays will be uneconomical without them.
the illegal claims made by boots were a form of advertising.now that they are gone, sales figures will decrease.if they decrease, boots might drop homeopathy altogether.or do you think they are not in it for the money?
