Comparison to builders is a load of cobblers

So now we have Sir Bruce Keogh, medical director of the NHS, comparing us to builders in an effort to justify making GPs jump through yet more hoops.

He says that nobody would pay for a building until they were sure the doors and windows weren't going to fall out. Where on earth do these idiots live? We've had Tony Blair comparing us to booking a flight, Ben Bradshaw to planning a holiday and now this load of cobblers!

It wouldn't grate so much if the Government had an even average record of careful use of public money but can anyone identify even one Government IT scheme in years that hasn't wasted millions?

I suppose our next role models for Government blaggers will be bank chief executives, except that they might not count because when they make a complete mess of the economy they still get rewarded with millions.

Why can't ministers just concentrate on supporting us in doing an excellent job for a fair reward?

From Dr TD Magowan, Ballymena, Co Antrim
