Contract benefits? Why is anyone left in NHS!

Two years ago GPs voted for a contract without knowing what it was, without it being priced or sorted out. There has been much talking about it over the last two years – interestingly enough it still has not been published and we still do not know what it is going to hold.

But all GPs are working very hard to make sure they keep

their end of the bargain, so it is slightly amazing to see they are all happily accepting all the things that might benefit them, such as pensions and the out-of-hours opt-out, have not yet been organised.

It is also interesting that I do not yet know anyone who has been paid for the minor operations they have done this year, despite the money being promised in October.

The only thing I do find fascinating is that anyone is still working in the NHS.
