DoH expects nurses to do PSA testing

GPs are manning the phones at NHS 24, even though Scotland's answer to NHS Direct is supposed to be nurse led.

Five GPs have joined the payroll following a dramatic increase in calls, particularly on Saturdays with GPs having dropped out-of-hours responsibilities, at a call centre in South Queensferry. The GPs are paid around £35 an hour.
