Don't push too many GPs to be specialists

Dr Liz Thomas, whose primary care trust is piloting links with US health care organisation Kaiser Permanente for the Government, is warning against pushing too many GPs into special interest care.

Dr Thomas, a GP in Torquay, said: 'Our strength is we are generalists and can cope with multiple pathology.'
