At the heart of general practice since 1960

The best thing about my practice is providing a traditional, friendly environment while embracing modern technology.

The worst thing about my practice is having to close our list this year because of a lack of financial support from the PCT for the much-needed expansion.

The person that influenced me most is my Mum.

My favourite fictional doctor is Mac from Green Wing.

The trait I most dislike in myself is taking criticism too personally.

The trait I most dislike in others is laziness.

This summer I hope to grow my own organic veg.

Dropping Choose and Book would be a popular move in Milton Keynes.

Milton Keynes has an unusually high prevalence of hay fever, due to being surrounded by rape seed fields and planted with thousands of broom bushes. Roundabouts are magic! The concrete cows are the strong silent type.

The forthcoming LMCs' conference will hopefully encourage solidarity among GPs in the face of the overwhelming negative publicity of the past year.

My greatest achievement was completing the Race for Life last year.

The current electronic records situation is a shambles. I am excited about Milton Keynes' new GP IT group because we will finally have some clinical input into new technologies.

If my life was a song it would be Did I shave my legs for this? by Deana Carter.

The most annoying thing about being a GP is being told how much I earn (I wish!).

My least attractive habit is my colourful language.

My most treasured possessions are my goldfish, both at home and in my surgery.

The vehicle I own is a Porsche Boxster called Barry.

My favourite word is aperitif.

If I could say one thing to Patricia Hewitt, it would be unprintable.

If I could do one thing to change the world it would be to ban plastic bags.

Mr Darcy walking out of the lake was the best thing I've ever seen.

My husband's snoring keeps me awake at night.

The last film I saw was Borat (how was he not shot during filming?).

The guests at my ideal dinner party would be Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and Gordon Ramsey to do the cooking.

My most vivid schooldays memory is being given a homemade Christmas card by my future husband.
