The waiting game

Exception reporting data to be included in QMAS

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction at the way nGMS took away the incentive to recruit GPs as new partners. It is true that new GPs are less willing to take over the responsibility to work as partners initially, but equally the new contract is denying opportunity for new doctors to take up the challenge in the long run.

Older partners are unwilling to dilute their share and want to maximise profits by employing more and more salaried doctors.

When new QOF targets are being negotiated we should put pressure on the GPC to try to include incentives to recruit more GP partners, especially in view of

the looming retirement crisis in the near future.
