Fit women with RA have better quality of life

Female patients with rheumatoid arthritis who are physically fit have better measures of quality of life, say Taiwanese researchers.

Their study in 66 patients with RA evaluated aerobic fitness using exercise tolerance testing and correlated this with the World Health Organisation quality of life brief questionnaire.

They found a significant association with the physical, psychological and environmental domains of the WHOQOL-BREF for female patients.
