GP can't afford to keep practising

Dr Amanda Brown is reluctantly quitting on March 31 because her pay will drop by £600 a month due to lost seniority and PGEA pay.

Part-time GP Dr Brown, who practises in Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire, said she could not afford to continue.

'I'm angry and sad,' she said. 'It has been my life. I felt quite proud of it. But then you ride off into the sunset and it seems nobody gives a toss.'
