GP discovers cure for wrinkles

The RCGP has told MPs of its 'astonishment' at the level of drug company funding for specialist practice nurses.

In 2003 GlaxoSmithKline alone paid for the training of 235 respiratory and 199 diabetes nurses, heard the health select committee inquiry into the influence of the pharmaceutical industry. Dr Iona Heath, outgoing chair of the RCGP's ethics committee, warned nurses had a 'surprising' degree of influence over the products practices used.
