GP partners giving nurses a raw deal

As a locum and salaried GP, I would say that nurses deserve a cut of the QOF, as do the receptionists who do Read coding, inputting and other QOF-related tasks.

It is annoying to everyone to find the lead GPs are pocketing all the money when they are not the ones doing the work.

Many older doctors are not as computer literate as their staff, so do less QOF work, or have to be nagged to remember to code for smoking status, medication review and so on.

A fair wage for a good day's work, I say, and a bonus at QOF payout time.
