GP says 'sorry' for being partner short

Dr Keith Tattum has written to the 4,300 patients on his list asking for their 'understanding and support' while he struggles to find a new partner.

'I have a nurse practitioner and locum cover, but since October I've been doing the lion's share myself,' said Dr Tattum, a GP in Stoke on Trent. 'No one's been aggressive ­ though some have slammed the door and said ''Don't bother, I'll be dead''.'
