GP trainers quitting over lack of pay increase

I read with shock the article in Pulse regarding female GPs (News, 1 October).

Poor, poor, poor creatures. Having to take a wage cut while on maternity is surely a violation of their human rights. They are then expected to pay for childcare out of their paltry wage.

Doctors, wake up. You get exceedingly well paid. Childcare issues are the same for everyone, except that you are one of the few groups that can afford good childcare. Hospitals need good cleaners, but there are few who could afford a full-time child minder.

If you want life to be less complicated, get a cat.

I doubt the state will pay for cattery costs when you go on holiday though.
