GP upset by PCT chief's £100k pay

Dr Gill Edmondson says her PCT chief executive's salary could pay for four health assistants.

The £100,000-plus salary for the Central Manchester PCT chief is among the three highest in the country, a report revealed last week. Dr Edmondson, a GP in Chorlton, said: 'I have practice staff on the lowest point of the grade and the PCT finance director won't approve them going on to the next stage.
